Chapter WelcomeOn behalf of our Jewels and our charter members, we welcome you to the website of the 399th House of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. - Iota Beta Chapter, seated at the University of Virginia. We invite you visit look through our website and get to know our brotherhood, like no other.
We take pride of our many accomplishments on Grounds as well as in the community. In holding the light high, we pursue numerous leadership roles: leaders in health care, education, law, and business as well as the 56th Eastern Regional Assistant Vice President, the highest position an undergraduate brother may hold in our fraternity. Our brothers have been recognized for their high standard of leadership, academic excellence, and community service by being selected to live on the Lawn, an honor given by peers to only 54 students during their 4th year. Thank you for taking an interest in our great Fraternity as well as our chapter. Feel free to reach out to us to get to know us better. |
The chief significance of Alpha Phi Alpha lies in its purpose to stimulate, develop, and cement an intelligent, trained leadership in the unending fight for freedom, equality and fraternity. Our task is endless. - Jewel Henry Arthur Callis Manly DeedsPrior to classes starting, the Iota Beta Chapter helps move our first-year classmates into their dorm rooms as UPC Move-In Day Greeters.
